Here’s why it’s worth remembering:

1. Points and Rewards: Many credit cards give you points for every dollar you spend. You can redeem these points for travel, gift cards, or even statement credits. It's an easy way to get a little extra for the purchases you're already making (or a lot extra if you’re cashing out on nice fancy flights and hotels).

2. Cashback: Some credit cards offer cashback, giving you back a percentage of what you spend. Depending on the card and the purchase category, this can be anywhere from 1% to 5% or more. So, you could be getting 5% back on top of a great deal you found on DealDog.
